Bemis has extended its commercial toilet seat fastening system to its residential Mayfair designer series. The STA-TITE system, which is designed to eliminate the problem of loose and wobbly toilet seats, is now available in metal hinge products. Using a single-piece fastener, a glass-filled nylon nut securely centers the bolt in the mounting hole despite variations from bowl to bowl. Once the seat is attached correctly, the lower section of the nut shears away for proper installation. The Mayfair line also includes DuraGuard, an antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of microorganisms on the seat.
