Digital Products International Inc. (DPI), a manufacturer of consumer electronics, has added smart home technology to its lineup with a Wi-Fi Smart Plug under the Amped Wireless brand.
The Wi-Fi Smart Plug (AWP138W) offers the ability to control plugged-in devices whether at home or away via the standard outlet. It features a USB port to allow for additional device charging. With the free SuperConn App (available on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store), controlling devices from anywhere is easy and simple to set up. Simply plug in the Wi-Fi plug, download the app, create an account and add the plug to the network. Once connected, you can set timers and schedules, create scenes (turn multiple devices on and off with one touch) and even link the plug/strip with Amazon Alexa to control your devices with the sound of your voice.
The Smart Plug and Smart Strip can control a variety of devices including (but not necessarily limited to): holiday décor, fans, lighting, coffee makers, televisions, game consoles, hair straighteners, irons, heated blankets, electric kettles and slow cookers.
