Announcing Schwinn Design Assistant

Published: March 10, 2021

Schwinn Hardware has announced the introduction of the Schwinn Design Assistant, a tool for selecting and specifying hardware. Available in two versions with a total of 150 designs, the Design Assistant features a fan deck of cardstock samples with products in actual size printed on each page, providing a solution as close to having physical samples as possible without the bulk of having to carry them to every project.

Using the Schwinn Design Assistant, architects, designers and cabinet manufacturers can simply hold up the deck to a cabinet or panel to see how it looks and whether it’s sized properly for the cabinet or drawer. Each page of the two fan decks has the hardware shown in front and top view. All the images are actual size. The back of each sheet has all the specification details of the product and a ruler to ensure proper placement.

“For many years, architects and designers have had to either carry actual hardware samples with them or know the precise specifications of any piece they might want to specify,” said Ulrich Hauser, Schwinn Hardware CEO. “Our Schwinn Design Assistant fan deck allows them to get an actual ‘to scale’ visual without having to hold up physical hardware. Our goal was to do anything we can to support their work and make the process of selecting hardware more enjoyable, efficient and rewarding.”

Using the Schwinn Design Assistant is similar to using a paint color fan deck. The difference with this deck is the amount of information contained on each piece.
