Waterstone Faucets has announced the winners of the inaugural Waterstone Design Contest. Designers, builders and architects were invited to submit their projects designed with Waterstone products. Three winners were chosen, one for each contest category: Traditional Kitchen, Contemporary Kitchen and Butler’s Pantry or Bar.
The judges panel included Chris Kuran, Waterstone’s founder and president, and designers Cara Fox of The Fox Group and Caitlin Wilson of Caitlin Wilson Design. The project entries were evaluated based on innovation, functionality, execution and aesthetics.
“We saw so many impressive entries submitted to our first design contest that were true displays of innovation and creativity within kitchen design,” said Kuran. “We’re honored to recognize the talented designers and firms behind these winning projects.”
The awarded project in the Traditional Kitchen category was designed by Lindsey Snodgrass at New Orleans-based Golden Key Designs. The firm designed the kitchen of the 1905 Greek Revival “Hawthorn House” as a new addition after the home had been left vacant for over 30 years. Designed to seamlessly blend with the existing architectural details of the historic property, the kitchen features Waterstone’s Traditional Extended Reach PLP Faucet in Polished Nickel.
Houston-based By Design Interiors, Inc. designed the winning project of the Contemporary Kitchen category. Featuring a unique combination of luxurious and farmhouse-inspired details, the kitchen’s striking black, white and gold color palette is accented by Waterstone’s Industrial PLP in Matte Black and Classic Bronze.
Finally, the winning Butler’s Pantry was designed by Christine Bolton at Town & Country Design Studio in Red Bank, N.J. Featuring Waterstone’s Traditional PLP three-piece suite in Satin Gold, this impressive butler’s pantry is a charming complement to the home’s all-white main kitchen.
Winners received a cash prize, three-piece faucet suite and promotion across Waterstone’s sales and marketing platforms.
