Task Lighting has announced their 35th Anniversary Photo Contest. For the first time ever, Task Lighting is inviting interior designers, architects and other trade professionals to submit their projects for a chance to win one of four cash prizes.
The contest, which opens for entries on May 1, 2020, challenges design professionals to submit two or more photos of a project featuring Task Lighting products as well as one “before” shot. One grand prize winner will walk away with a $3,000 prize; an additional second place ($2,000 prize), a third place ($1,000 prize) and an honorable mention ($500 prize) will also be awarded.
“For 35 years, Task Lighting has been at the lighting forefront of the kitchen, bath and home industry,” stated Jay Bartek, General Manager of Task Lighting. “Over our many years, we have worked alongside some of the world’s most talented professionals and this photo contest allows us the opportunity to celebrate our supporters and their outstanding designs.”
In 1985, Ken Anderson, a Certified Kitchen Designer in Kearney, Nebraska, had the idea to use automobile headlight lamps to reduce the flicker and buzz of the current fluorescent fixtures, creating a better lighting fixture for the kitchen and bath industry. Task Lighting later became one of the first to introduce LED lighting for the kitchen and bath. In 2005, Task Lighting introduced their patented Angle Power Strip. Task Lighting continues to develop and expand their top–of–the-line lighting and power products.
“Hardware Resources is proud that since our purchase of Task Lighting in 2018, manufacturing of Task Lighting products has expanded right here in Nebraska. We have achieved continued success by adding additional research and design capacity and providing national resources to reach all Task Lighting customers,” said David Tyler, Executive VP, Product Management, Marketing, Engineering.
Contest entries will be accepted online starting on May 1, 2020. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on October 31, 2020. A panel of Task Lighting design professionals will select the winners.
