Infinity Drain was an honoree for its matte black finish, currently available across its collection, at the 2019 Interior Design Best of Year (BoY) Awards.
Hosted by Interior Design magazine at the Jacobs Javits Center in New York City on Dec. 6, the BoY Awards is one of the year’s most prestigious honors in design for architects, designers and manufacturers. This year’s awards garnered a record-setting 2,638 product submissions in 137 design categories that were voted on by more than 150,000.
“Given that this year marked the largest pool of submissions to date for these awards, being an honoree is especially gratifying,” said Jonathan Brill, president, Infinity Drain. “From the unsurpassed quality of our decorative shower drains to our innovative installation solutions, we design our products to be impactful both inside and out.”
To maximize corrosion protection and abrasion resistance, Infinity Drain achieves its matte black finish with an e-coating paint process that incorporates nano-ceramic technology. Brill noted that historically stainless steel has been a challenge to plate.
“By incorporating a hybrid of e-coating and nano-technology, our matte black finish is incredibly durable with a consistent finish tone on our stainless-steel products,” he said.
