Wellborn Cabinet Inc. has announced the winners of its 2020-2021 Design Contest in every category. Along with a panel of the top industry designers, Wellborn has chosen three winning designs and one honorable mention in the categories large kitchen, small kitchen and bathroom
The designs were judged on five main criteria:
- Safety & Ergonomics
- Elements & Principle of Design
- Design Planning
- Creativity
- Presentation
Large Kitchen Design Contest Winners
1st Place – Pamela Saunders, Signature Companies, Sioux Falls, South Dakota
“The family moved into their lovely home but the kitchen was cramped, dark, dated, and was not a great fit for their busy lives,” said Saunders. “The layout was designed removing the old pantry and closet, moving the cooktop from the island to the back wall, and relocating big appliances. The cabinets selected were Bishop in Bright White and Bishop in Bleu for the island. The final result is a large, bright, open kitchen that the family loves.”
2nd Place – David Balko, Perez Design, Build Remodel, Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania
3rd Place – Ron LaBrie
Honorable Mention – Gary Carmalt, Kade Cabinet Co., Cumming, Georgia
Small Kitchen Design Contest Winner
Jessica Flores of Creative Living in Rydal, Georgia, won awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and honorable mention.
Bathroom Design Contest Winners
1st Place – Grayson Wilson, Riverworks Design Studio, Muscle Shoals, Alabama (pictured)
2nd Place – Leo Lantz, Leo Lantz Construction, Glen Allen, Virginia
3rd Place – Deborah Vileno Esborn, George Davis Inc., South Yarmouth, Massachusetts
