Design Basics, an Omaha-based home plans design firm, exhibited at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) virtual 2021 International Builders’ Show (IBS) last week, debuting the company’s new home plans.
“We are excited to kick off 2021 by connecting with industry professionals and discussing new design solutions,” said Natalie Wendling, executive vice president at Design Basics. “This show is an opportunity to share innovations in home design. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on.”
In addition to exhibiting, Design Basics promoted its newest design concept called Sanctuary Space.™ This concept is in response to the pandemic fatigue that has set in after many continue to work from home and learn remotely.
“Particularly in light of COVID-19 limitations, we long for some ‘me space’ in the home,” said Paul Foresman, vice president of business development at Design Basics. “We’ve started incorporating a Sanctuary Space in select home plans. This is your private getaway, accessed directly from your bedroom suite. For example, in the Trufant plan (#29323), the 9-ft. by 15-ft. outdoor storage area can become your Sanctuary Space offering healthy, natural light and maximum privacy.”
