Published: August 11, 2020

Coverings has announced the return and expansion of its offered digital experience, Coverings Connected. The new, multi-session Coverings Connected series will return in the form of scheduled online events that provide attendees with digital opportunities for educational webinars, Continuing Education Units (CEUs), on-demand content, and an online showcase of Coverings’ tile and stone exhibitors from around the globe.

The first of three digital events will take place Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020, hosted on Coverings’ website, and it will be followed by successive Coverings Connected experiences during 2020 and 2021. The second online event in the new Coverings Connected series is slated for Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020. The third and final digital experience prior to Coverings 2021 will be Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, which is National Tile Day.

“Coverings Connected was created to support the tile and stone industry by providing attendees with engaging, relevant and complimentary content via a digital environment, and we look forward to continuing this mission through our Coverings Connected series,” said Jennifer Hoff, president of Taffy Event Strategies, LLC, the event management firm for Coverings. “Additionally, Coverings Connected provides our exhibiting companies and attendees ongoing opportunities for networking to promote growth and success across the industry.”

The Coverings Connected August event will address tile industry standards, selling tile post-pandemic, and the health and wellness benefits of tile. Speakers for the sessions comprise various experts from installation and fabrication to materials and trends.

Sessions scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020, include “Introduction to Tile Industry Standards,” by Mark Heinlein of the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA); “Selling Tile Post-Pandemic: The Healthy & Hygienic Choice for Your Customers and Clients,” by Noah Chitty of Crossville, Inc., and Bill Griese, LEED AP, of Tile Council of North America (TCNA); and “Healthy Buildings, Healthy Homes: Tips for Specifying Surfaces in a Post-COVID World,” by Jamie Gold, CKD, CAPS, MCCWC, an author and design, wellness and real estate consultant, and Irene Williams, founder and CEO of MSG2MKT.

Companies looking to get involved and promote their businesses and brands through additional digital opportunities may choose from various Coverings Connected sponsorship opportunities.

Participating companies with Gold Level sponsorships will be given increased exposure through banner ads, Sponsor Spotlights or videos in the monthly The Coverings Connection e-newsletters prior to Coverings 2021. Gold Sponsors will have the opportunity to serve as Presenting Sponsors of one of the three Coverings Connected events. They also will receive one guest post on the Coverings blog of 500 words or less; a logo featured on signage promoting Coverings Connected sponsors at Coverings 2021 in Orlando, Florida; and a logo on The Coverings Connection e-newsletter.

Businesses that select the Coverings Connected Presenting Sponsorship packages will have their logos appear for 10 seconds at the beginning and end of each day’s presentations, and they can provide brief introductions to the program. Their logos also will be featured on the Coverings Connected website. There are three available Presenting Sponsorships for Coverings Connected. Presenting Sponsors may choose which Coverings Connected virtual event they would like to sponsor on a first-come, first-served basis.

Monthly e-newsletter sponsorships are available in the form of banner ads, which also will be included on the Coverings Connection page of the Coverings 2021 website; Sponsor Spotlights, which provide companies 100 words, a headline, hyperlink, and an image detailing their product(s) or service(s); and 30-60-second posted videos that showcase companies and their offerings, along with up to 40 words describing the video content. Each e-newsletter sponsor will provide a hyperlink to the business’s respective, hosted video. Approved content may also be shared on select Coverings social media channels.

Coverings Connected attendees’ digital experience will culminate at Coverings 2021, set to take place April 13-16, 2021, in Orlando, Florida. For more information about Coverings 2021, Coverings Connected, schedules, resources, and opportunities, visit coverings.com.
