Danish brand VOLA’s sustainability mission includes a pledged carbon neutrality by 2030. From the beginning, the brand aimed for a sustainable approach to crafting long-lasting products and ensuring that internal parts could be replaced indefinitely.
Inspired by the Danish deep affinity and respect for the environment, the company does not focus on launching new products every season. Instead, its concept of sustainability is based on the desire to design timeless innovative products carefully thought out in every detail and quality that translates into high recycling levels and low energy consumption.
Water conservation has been a major focus of VOLA since it started producing faucets in 1968. The products are designed around this essential element and are ingeniously conceived to preserve it as much as possible, both by closely controlling the water recycling system through the way it is manufactured at the factory and by the design conception itself to encourage users to consume more responsibly. The VOLA system of optional flow regulators and mixing valves create bubbles to reduce the volume used. The electronic faucets are ideal because they automatically shut off after a set time.
VOLA uses only high corrosion-resistant austenitic stainless steel and lead-free brass in all its faucets and mixers allowing for safe manufacturing and use and facilitating recycling. Indeed, the brand recycles 100% of its waste materials and end-of-life products to prevent landfills and the further extraction of raw materials.
VOLA Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are available for many of the brand’s products for more transparency about the product life cycle at every stage.
