Visitors Experience Appliances Firsthand at MainStreet America

Published: October 7, 2013

MainStreet America, located in Spring, Texas, showcases new homes and is designed to provide dining, retail, entertainment and educational opportunities for consumers, builders and designers. Visitors are able to meet with builders, designers and architects, as well as tour homes to see the latest in design and technology from appliances to décor.

For visitors looking to test-drive appliances before committing to purchase, they can now register for cooking classes with Chef Lawrence Fogarty, a native Texan and graduate of the California Culinary Academy, at the Main Course Cooking School, a part of MainStreet America. Classes range from a casual pizza party to more eclectic French or Italian cuisine.

Classes are pre-scheduled or can be arranged as a private dining event. The experience allows consumers interested in GE Monogram appliances to view displayed models, as well as cook on them.
