Reico Acquires Carolina Kitchens

Published: February 1, 2025

Reico Kitchen & Bath has successfully completed the acquisition of Carolina Kitchens and its two locations in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This brings the company’s total number of showrooms to 26 across the Mid- and South-Atlantic region and increases the company’s presence in North Carolina to six showrooms, adding to current locations in Charlotte, Raleigh, Southern Pines and its new state-of-the-art showroom in Wilmington.

This acquisition also brought with it a group of seasoned professionals who will have an immediate impact on Reico’s transition to the new market.

Brothers Phil and Pete Burger founded the company as Carolina Kitchen & Bath nearly five decades ago and grew their business based on a foundation of great customer service. Both Burgers are helping during the transition by introducing Reico to their customers and providing market insight.

“Carolina Kitchens has established an outstanding reputation since its inception in 1973,” said Reico Kitchen & Bath President Rich Maresco. “Founders Pete and Phil Burger will continue to help Reico make this transition as smooth as possible. We are delighted for the opportunity to build on the high level of service in these two growing markets.”

Part of Reico’s overall strategy is to grow new locations and markets that allows the company to expand in a way that preserves the foundation of its success and maintains the quality of its services. Growth stretches the company’s reach, increases its customer base and effectively utilizes its existing resources, such as people, systems, warehouses and trucks. Additional recent growth has included new showrooms in Winchester, Virginia, and Wilmington, North Carolina.
