Refrigerator Technology Recognized as ’30 Most Innovative Products’

Published: May 1, 2014

LG Electronics’ 4-Door French-Door Refrigerator with Door-in-Door technology was recently named as one of the “30 Most Innovative Products for 2014” by Better Homes and Gardens: Kitchen + Bath Ideas.

The annual listing features Better Homes and Gardens editors’ top picks for products that combine smart function, seamless style and cutting-edge technology. LG’s refrigerator (Model LMX30995) was honored for its Door-in-Door technology that allows quick and easy access to snacks and beverages in the interior compartment without opening the entire refrigerator.

LG’s model is Energy Star certified, and its Door-in-Door feature reduces cold air loss by up to 47 percent to help keep food fresher, longer. This model also has two freezer drawers; the top drawer allows for convenient access to commonly used items, while the bottom drawer allows room for larger or longer-term storage items.

“The goal with this distinction is to inform readers about the best products available on the market, as well as to help them make smart planning and purchasing decisions,” said Samantha Hart, editor of Kitchen + Bath Ideas. “We recommend not only what to buy, but share also why it’s worth buying. LG’s innovative Door-in-Door technology caught our eye as one of the most innovative appliance designs we’ve seen, offering users a place to store their go-to foods more conveniently than ever before.”
