PDI announced that it will expand its service and operations to Smyrna, Tenn., located along the industrial I-24 corridor and centrally between Nashville and Murfreesboro.
“We view this as a great chance to fortify our presence in this rapidly expanding market,” said Coley Herrin, president & CEO of PDI. “I’m looking forward to broadening our reach in order to serve more customers in Tennessee, while also creating new job opportunities for local drivers and warehouse personnel.”
The kitchen, bath, lighting and plumbing wholesaler and retailer will open a new branch to serve the professional trades. The new location complements the company’s existing branch and PDI Kitchen, Bath & Lighting showroom in Nashville, as well as its branch located in White House, Tenn.
“I’m excited about the potential in Smyrna,” said Brandon McNeal, vice president of sales at PDI. “Our locations in Nashville and White House have cultivated a loyal customer base. This new location will deepen those relationships, introduce our brand to new customers and demonstrate that Middle Tennesseans can rely on PDI.”
PDI will be taking over an existing building at 100 G Street in Smyrna, along Sam Riddle Parkway, that will have 37,500 square feet of dedicated warehouse space and eight truck wells for efficient shipping and receiving. The remaining space will be built out as a PDI service counter for plumbers and contractors, which is expected to be operational by December 2025.
PDI’s growth in Tennessee highlights the success that the brand has seen through more than a decade of business in the state.
