nuHaus Opens in Chicago

Published: June 26, 2013

Located in the River North design district in Chicago, nuHaus’ recently opened 5,000-sq.-ft. showroom and design studio offers kitchen and cabinetry resources to the design industry and end user.

“We believe that this is an exciting time to set deeper roots in the center of Chicago’s esteemed design community,” said Doug Durbin, co-owner of nuHaus. “The goal of the new showroom is to demonstrate the full range of our capabilities, cater to the needs of our clients and design partners and ensure greater convenience and complete satisfaction. Along the way we hope to advance and celebrate the practice of fine cabinetry and kitchen design and share the passion and enthusiasm we bring to all our projects.”

The showroom presents five vignettes designed to appeal to a range of tastes and styles. In addition, the space will feature new products, including the North American showroom debut of the Scanomat TopBrewer. TopBrewer is a coffee delivery system that dispenses fresh coffee in 15 seconds – from espresso to macchiato to double lattes – via its styled tap. Designed to be built into any tabletop or counter and controlled by an iPad or iPhone, nuHaus is the first showroom in the U.S. to offer the coffee machine.

nuHaus is located at 120 W. Hubbard St., adjacent to Hydrology. Previously based in Highland Park on Chicago’s North Shore, the showroom and design studio will serve as the company’s new headquarters location.
