NKBA Updates Bath and Kitchen Planning Books

Published: March 21, 2013

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) has released the updated second editions of its kitchen and bath planning textbooks, first published in 2006.

Available in both print and e-book formats, the second editions have been revised with the latest information on such topics as sustainable and universal design and metric measurement equivalents for the benefit of professionals abroad. In addition, the volumes have been redesigned with new photographs and illustrations in full color.

“For a half a century, the NKBA has stayed true to its mission of educating the leading professionals in the industry,” said John Morgan, 2013 NKBA president. “Our new kitchen planning and bath planning books – each almost 500 pages – represent current best practices based on the latest industry research.

”Special features of the new editions include expanded information on universal design and sustainable design; information about storage, cabinet construction and specifying cabinets; a companion website with forms and teaching resources for instructors; the 2012 edition of the NKBA Kitchen & Bathroom Planning Guidelines with Access Standards; and up-to-date applications of the 2012 International Residential Code.
