Neil Kelly Company has acquired Seattle Design Build, a firm that specializes in whole-house remodels, additions, kitchen and bathroom renovations, custom sunrooms and conservatories. Nine of the 10 Washington State-based employees will remain with the company, including one of the original founders, Carolyn Boardman, who will continue to oversee daily operations as general manager of the Seattle office.
“This is a great fit,” said Tom Kelly, president of Neil Kelly Company. “Seattle represents a huge growth opportunity. We are already the largest residential remodeler in the Northwest and this helps to further solidify our position.”
Seattle and Portland recently ranked #13 and #17 respectively on Remodeling magazine’s “Top 100” list of the hottest remodeling growth markets in the country. Neil Kelly Company is currently focusing on Seattle and planning on opening a new showroom in the fall of 2012. Kelly added, “This is our first official entry into Washington, but we anticipate opening additional showrooms in the future.”
