NARI Elects 2016-2017 Officers

At the Spring Business Meeting in Austin, Texas, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) elected its new officers for 2016-2017. 

Immediate past president Judy Mozen, CR, GCP, of Handcrafted Homes, Inc., Roswell, Ga., was elevated to chairman of the board. H. Dale Contant, MCR, CRPM, UDCP, of Atlanta Design & Build, Marietta, Ga., was named president for the coming year. Tom Miller, CR, CKBR, of Tom Miller Remodeling, Inc., Portland, Ore., takes office as president-elect. 

Other officers announced during the meeting include: Treasurer David R. Pekel, MCR, UDCP, CAPS, Pekel Construction & Remodeling, Wauwatosa, Wis., and Secretary Robert Kirsic, CKBR, Timeline Renovations, Inc., Maspeth, N.Y. 

As president, Contant’s goals are to focus on membership acquisition and retention, workforce development and new marketing initiatives to make NARI more prominent among consumers.

“I’m honored to serve in this capacity for our organization,” said Contant. “I’m excited about our strategic initiative and the opportunity to move NARI forward as the premier association for remodeling professionals.” 

Mozen has served as the Association’s president for the past year and will now assume responsibilities as chairman.
