Moss Building & Design is marking 25 years in business with a new headquarters and Architectural Design Center in Vienna, Va., along with recent national recognition for its remodeling work.
After years in a large office space in a Chantilly industrial park, Moss is preparing to open its new Vienna Architectural Design Center. The move brings the company closer to many of the homeowners it serves and gives clients a place to meet with the team, look at materials and begin planning major remodeling projects.
“Our move to Vienna represents an exciting new chapter for Moss,” said Paul DesRoches II, Moss CEO. “We wanted a space that feels more intimate, inspiring and reflective of the design experience we create for our clients. This new studio gives us the opportunity to bring our team, our clients and our design process together in a more personal way.”
Vienna officials also pointed to the company’s relocation and investment in the new design center.
“Moss Building & Design’s headquarters relocation of approximately 50 employees and building investment for this state-of-the-art design center is an exciting development for the Town of Vienna,” said Nicole Toulouse, the Town of Vienna’s director of economic development. “This kind of investment strengthens our commercial districts and reinforces Vienna as a place where businesses can grow and thrive.”
The opening follows several recent milestones for Moss. The company earned a Bronze award in Qualified Remodeler’s 2026 Master Design Awards for a home addition project in Great Falls, Va., and credits the project team for bringing the work to life. Moss was also ranked No. 121 on Qualified Remodeler’s Top 500 Remodelers list, joined the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies’ Remodeling Futures Steering Committee and launched Natalie, Moss’s AI research assistant trained on 25-plus years of actual Moss projects who helps homeowners begin researching project scope, cost and timing before starting a full consultation.
“We are thrilled to welcome Moss Building & Design’s new headquarters to Vienna as they celebrate 25 years in business,” said Mayor Linda Colbert. “Their move into an iconic building in the heart of Church Street is an exciting investment in our community, and we look forward to having them as part of Vienna for years to come.”
Moss will officially celebrate the opening of its Vienna Architectural Design Center with a ribbon-cutting on Oct. 22.
