Miele Partners with Poggenpohl for Chef Eric Ripert Kitchen

Published: July 23, 2012

Miele has collaborated with chef Eric Ripert and Poggenpohl to launch a new kitchen concept. Featuring a complete suite of Miele appliances, the Eric Ripert Kitchen by Poggenpohl brings to life Ripert’s vision for the ideal kitchen for the at-home chef.

“Cooking is a holistic process of planning, preparing, dining and sharing food,” said Ripert. “I place food at the center of our humanity, as it nourishes not only our physical bodies, but also our emotional and spiritual lives.”

“Eric Ripert had a vision for a clean, modern look with maximum storage and eco-friendly materials,” said Ted Chappell, president of Poggenpohl U.S., Inc. “We worked closely with Ripert to create the kind of kitchen that would not only accommodate Ripert’s needs but also fit well in today’s environmentally friendly trend which is why the textured teak lava and terra melamine Poggenpohl cabinetry along with Miele appliances are ideal.”

The kitchen’s many features include narrow pullout drawers, vertical cabinets, a Caesarstone countertop, and a plating area in front of the cooktop. The space includes a Miele 36-in. induction cooktop (KM 5773) and 15-in. electric barbecue CombiSet (CS 1322 BG).

The Eric Ripert Kitchen by Poggenpohl will be marketed through Poggenpohl Kitchen Design Centers. The kitchen is now on display in the Poggenpohl New York City showroom, located at 150 East 58th Street in Manhattan.
