Matteo Gennari Showroom Opens in Manhattan

Published: October 3, 2018

German Kitchen Center (GKC) is pleased to announce the opening of its first exclusive Matteo Gennari brand showroom in the Decoration & Design (D&D) Building in Manhattan. The showroom, located at 979 Third Avenue on the ninth floor, will introduce Matteo Gennari products to the U.S. market and is the only showroom under the GKC umbrella to solely display and sell the Italian luxury brand.

Italian craftsman Matteo Gennari is known for creating kitchens and interior spaces and the brand delivers a complete service package. The uniqueness of a Matteo Gennari kitchen is that each bespoke project is customized with a careful selection of materials including wood, leather, suede, textiles, metal, glass and stone. Matteo Gennari is not only the designer but also the manufacturer, fabricator, artisan and installer.

The opening marks the 18th showroom in the U.S. for the German Kitchen Center. The new space, designed by Gennari, features his brand’s custom kitchen designs and furniture and offers design services to individuals in search of custom spaces. The new showroom features two kitchen vignettes featuring sinks carved from solid onyx slabs and a built-in bar and wine cabinetry area, as well as one bathroom vignette.

Mayan Metzler, owner and founder of German Kitchen Center, debuts the exclusive 2,500-sq.-ft. showroom with the vision of creating “million-dollar rooms” for clientele throughout the U.S.

“GKC offers consumers in the U.S. a new option similar to what is available in Europe, a multi-brand showroom which makes products at all price points and all styles available,” said Metzler. “We are very fortunate to be the U.S. partner of Matteo Gennari, because it allows GKC to offer the most high-end kitchens and interiors in the world. This is great, because if a consumer or designer wants to go for the highest level possible we can offer that with Matteo Gennari.”
