LivingInteriors Puts the Focus on Bathrooms, Floors, Walls and Lighting

Published: November 9, 2011

From January 16-22, 2012, LivingInteriors will open its doors in Cologne for the first time. LivingInteriors will occupy the same spaces used by LivingKitchen and alternate with the kitchen event, taking place every other year. LivingInteriors will feature national and international exhibitors from the bathroom, flooring, wall and lighting industries.

Together with imm cologne, LivingInteriors is aimed at trade visitors and consumers alike. “The new concept is a consistent further development in imm cologne’s evolution as an interior design fair. With LivingInteriors we will achieve a new dimension in the combination of business and event,” said Gerald Böse, CEO of Koelnmesse. “Taking the products as the starting point, furniture, bathrooms, floors, walls and elements such as lighting merge into a complete spatial experience and thus become part of the architecture. That’s why we wanted to create something new. It was important to us to stage the whole of the living space. We needed the space for international business, but at the same time we also needed a setting that generates maximum interest from the public and the media.”

A supporting program with lectures and project reports will round out the LivingInteriors agenda. Experts from the various product categories will share the latest trends and innovations in interior architecture and present ideas for architects and designers.
