Kitchen Cabinet Distributors Selects Houston for Its New Center

Published: January 1, 2019

In January 2019, Kitchen Cabinet Distributors will open a distribution center in Huston, the first outside of its Raleigh, North Carolina, headquarters. The 11-year-old cabinet company will open its new 180,000-sq.-ft. distribution in the city’s Greenspoint neighborhood, just north of downtown.

“Growing demand for affordable, quality cabinetry and a steady housing market continues to drive our growth, and our new Houston facility will allow us to better serve the state of Texas and other nearby markets,” said Megan Mazur, vice president of sales and marketing. “At this new facility, our expansive inventory and world-class customer service will allow customers to receive cabinets in days, not weeks, for both renovation projects and new construction.”

The distribution facility will feature a showroom for contractors, home improvement dealers and cabinet shops, allowing them to experience the company’s affordable styles and possibilities. The showroom will host customers seeking kitchen or bathroom inspiration to fit any budget. The facility will be integrated with the company’s recently launched online dealer ordering system. The system provides full transparency to inventory levels and product specifications allowing customers to submit orders anytime and anywhere.

Kitchen Cabinet Distributors will fill more than 50 Houston-based positions in 2019, including customer service representatives, and warehouse personnel.

In addition to its status as the most populous city in Texas, Houston offers easy access to customers in some of the nation’s fast-growing housing markets, including Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. More broadly, Houston is an ideal location for Kitchen Cabinet Distributors to better serve the Southwestern United States.
