The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) recognized Kenmore with three 2010 International CES Innovations Awards, including a Best of Innovations in the Major Home Appliances category. A panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the media judges products.
In the Major Home Appliances category, Kenmore’s Elite dishwasher (pictured) with interactive color LCD controls was the Best of Innovations recipient. The appliance features full-color touch controls with need-to-know information such as cycle length and status, use and care details and maintenance tips within a full-color LCD screen.
The Kenmore Live Studio (KLS), launched in March 2010, was also honored in the Major Home Appliances category. KLS is an interactive community center open to the public. Both a physical and online gathering place, events at KLS are broadcast live on Kenmore’s Facebook page providing a platform for two-way dialogue between consumers and the brand.
In the Enabling Technology category, Kenmore Connect, a customer service technology that enables certain Kenmore and Kenmore Elite washers and dryers to talk directly to service experts, was recognized. With Kenmore Connect, service experts diagnose information in real time directly from the appliance and offer assistance and solutions. Data transmitted includes cycle and option settings, operational information, details on the factors contributing to cycle time, status of certain sub-systems and mechanical issues.
The Kenmore products will be displayed at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show, January 6-9, 2011, in Las Vegas at booth #26111.
