The American Society of Interior Designers Illinois Chapter (ASID-IL) and i4design magazine recently hosted the eighth annual Celebration of Design gala, which recognized 27 interior designers or design teams with the Design Excellence award.
“Illinois designers showed their great talent and innovation over the past year and we were honored to recognize them,” said Michelle Banks Watt, ASID, 2010-2011 ASID-IL chapter president. “These 27 trend-setting design teams displayed their knowledge, creativity and incredible skill set across all categories. We extend our congratulations to everyone.”
The Design Excellence Awards residential, contract and product design categories included: kitchen, bath, green design, corporate offices, retail and more.
The winners in the kitchen and bath residential categories include the first place award for a kitchen over 200-sq.-ft., which was given to Susan Fredman, ASID and Barb Ince, ASID of Susan Fredman Design Group; first place for a kitchen under 200-sq.-ft. (pictured above), which went to Shawna Dillon, ASID, of Snaidero Chicago; and the first place award in the bath category (pictured top), which was given to Margaret McCurry, AIA, ASID of Tigerman McCurry Architects.
