Michael Menn, principal of Michael Menn Ltd., has been selected as an honoree of the 29th Annual Awards for Business Excellence (AABE). The suburban Chicago architectural firm is one of 23 Illinois-based companies to be recognized for its business achievement, growth and community involvement.
While Menn and his staff are honored to be recognized for the award, the AABE is significant because it will be presented in recognition of the firm’s business practices. Menn has received numerous design awards during the course of his 40 years as an architect, but this award will be presented based on the firm’s policies of transparency, honesty and client satisfaction.
“When providing our professional services to clients, we adhere to a strict policy of transparency,” said Menn. “Clients are kept abreast of all issues and expenses upfront. We also offer new clients the opportunity to speak with our past and current clients. Our clients are our best referrals.”
Menn is a licensed residential and commercial architect in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin and Arizona, and has reciprocity in more than 40 other states. He is a former president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago. He has held offices at the National Association of Home Builders and is a member of The American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and National Kitchen and Bath Association. Menn earned Bachelor of Architectural Studies, Master of Architectural Engineering and Master of Architectural Design degrees from the University of Illinois. He is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) through the National Association of Home Builders.
The award recipients will be recognized at a reception on March 28, 2019, at Northern Illinois University in Naperville. The recipient companies and organizations will be profiled in a special publication of the Daily Herald Business Ledger to be published in April.
