GE Opens Monogram Design Center

Published: June 7, 2013

GE’s
second Monogram Design Center opened at LuxeHome in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart, offering midwest interior designers, architects and consumers a new kitchen design resource.

Modeled after the Monogram Design Center in New York City, the Chicago center includes four fully designed kitchens, two of them live and staffed by a professional chef, as well as a working wet bar, dining room and lounge area. More than 50 GE Monogram appliances are installed throughout the center to showcase a range of décor styles, from contemporary to traditional.

The Monogram Design Center is staffed with four employees and managed by Anita Kirtley, senior design center specialist, who has been with GE for more than 12 years. Joining her is Chef Jon Liddell, who will lead cooking classes and seminars for designers and architects.

While learning about Monogram appliances, visitors to the design center can also see products from other LuxeHome showrooms, including Rohl faucets and sinks, Brizo faucets, Paris Ceramics flooring, Bentwood Kitchens cabinetry and furniture from Holly Hunt and Herman Miller.

The GE Monogram Design Center will maintain the same hours as LuxeHome at The Merchandise Mart (M-F 9-5 and Sat 10-3).
