Elizabeth Rishel, owner of Orion Design in Kansas City, Mo., is the grand-prize winner of GE’s Monogram Kitchen Display Competition for her “Green with Envy” kitchen design, which incorporates a Monogram range, French-door, built-in refrigerator, oven with Advantium Speedcook technology, two dishwashers, a compact refrigerator unit, wall oven and professional range hood.
Rishel received $10,000, a trip to the Kentucky Derby and was able to see her design up close and personal at the GE Appliance Global Customer Center in Louisville, Ky. Second-place winner, Kate Roos of Casa Verde Design in Minneapolis, received a check for $5,000, and third-place winner Jennifer Bausert of Apollo, Pa., received $2,500.
The competition was open to kitchen designers, interior designers, students and consultants. Entries were judged by a panel of kitchen designers, industry professionals and GE representatives.
