The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is accepting entries for the Best in American Living Awards (BALA), which recognizes exceptional design and uses the example of trendsetting ideas to improve residential design in all aspects of the housing industry.
“Every year, BALA winners redefine design excellence for the residential construction industry,” said Lynne Pratt, a builder from Auburn Hills, MI, and chair of the Design Committee. “We’re very excited to have Builder magazine as the media sponsor for this outstanding program.”
Platinum, gold and silver awards are given to single-family, multifamily, remodeling, community and interior design projects in several categories, including kitchen and bath design. Top honors include Home of the Year, Room of the Year and Community of the Year.
Winning entries in selected categories will be featured in Builder magazine’s February 2012 issue, which will be distributed at the International Builders’ Show in Orlando. In addition, winners will appear on www.builderonline.com and www.nahb.org.
