Established in 1989, Devon&Devon is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, the company is introducing two limited edition products that recover and reinterpret the best of tradition as a contemporary classic – the Aurora30 tub and Morris30 tap.
The company’s history is a story of innovation and quality. Its roots lie in its love of raw materials and the manufacturing skills of its craftsmen who are operate in small production districts around Europe.
In three decades, Devon&Devon, which is now part of Italcer Group, has invented and reinvented products that have changed the way in which we experience the bathroom space. In 1989, the company showcased the first Victorian-style designer bathtub, transforming the bathroom from merely a functional space into a beautiful environment dedicated to personal care.
In 1991, the first 30-cm-diameter showerhead came onto the scene: at the time, it looked like an exaggeration, but it soon became a universal trend. Since then, everything has been about re-invention: the console, which until then was used only in entertainment spaces, made its appearance in the bathroom, and wood paneling was repurposed as a ceramic wall-covering. Devon&Devon’s history, made of recovered traditions and redefined functions, is a constant declaration of courageous anti-conventionalism, expressed in timeless products that reinterpret European tradition and 20th-century design with an attentive focus on the present.
Known worldwide, Devon&Devon was founded by two architects and has the “project” culture in its DNA. For this reason, in addition to its complete collections, the company offers its clients tailored custom-made solutions. Devon&Devon can offer this bespoke service thanks to the short supply chain of its highly-specialized workers who are supported and coordinated by an internal team of architects during every phase of the creative process.
