The American Society of Interior Designers Illinois Chapter (ASID-IL) and i4design magazine recently presented more than 30 Illinois-based interior designers/design teams with the Design Excellence Award.
“Designers from all over the state have submitted their best work in hopes of receiving one of these coveted awards,” said Joan M. Kaufman, ASID, LEED-AP, 2009-10 ASID-IL chapter president. “The Design Excellence Awards recognize superior design advances in the interior design profession by acknowledging the very essence of what we do: great interior design that changes people’s lives. When you look at the winning projects this year, you see an outstanding combination of beautiful and functional design, sustainability, impeccable space-planning and selections made by designers on behalf of their clients’ needs and wants.”
The awards’ residential, contract and product design categories included kitchen, bath, green design, corporate, healthcare and historic restoration projects. A panel of interior design professionals from the New England chapter of ASID judged and selected category winners.
