DAS Architects has promoted Janey Garrido to the position of design director. With nearly 20 years in the design industry, Garrido brings a passion for problem solving in any design environment and views interiors as spaces to be sculpted into environments that enhance the lives of others.
A graduate of Drexel University, Garrido has held previous roles as a senior interior designer at some of Philadelphia’s top design and architectural firms, including Daroff Design and Floss Barber. She has been a part of developing numerous hotels, casinos and luxury multi-family projects around the country.
As part of the DAS team, some of Garrido’s projects have included Te Reeds at Shelter Haven, a luxury boutique resort in Stone Harbor, NJ; Te Granary, a new multi-family residential concept at the time for Philadelphia that featured bespoke amenities; renovation of the historic Curtis Center into more than 100 luxury residences; and Boyds Philadelphia, a complete rebranding and renovation of the iconic clothing boutique.
A diverse range of experiences have allowed Garrido to bring a thoughtful approach to design, a spirit of collaboration with other disciplines and a positive style of leadership and mentoring to everything she does.
