Natural stone countertops are regularly assaulted by household stains, from a red wine spill to a drop of oil. If treated properly, the countertop can last for many years, which is why DuPont has partnered with Protect Plus Surfaces to introduce the DuPont StoneTech professional warranty.
The new warranty covers residential countertops for 15 years and is transferable. To obtain the warranty, countertops must be treated with DuPont StoneTech BulletProof sealer, which offers microbond protection and makes cleaning natural stone easier.
“DuPont StoneTech BulletProof Sealer is available only through authorized distributors and dealers,” said Steve Wolf, DuPont StoneTech general manager. “The sealer was engineered specifically for natural stone and represents a new standard in stain protection because it is a water-based solution.”
The warranty has a guarantee against common household food or beverage stains and covers replacement labor and materials. Countertops covered include granite, marble and quartzite options. However, etching of natural stone does not fall under the warranty.
