Published: May 11, 2025

BSH, the home appliances division of the Bosch Group, celebrated the opening of its vibrant 7,000-sq.-ft. Experience and Design Center (EDC) in Washington, D.C. Located in the upscale CityCenterDC shopping center, the new state-of-the-art showroom is promising to serve as the center of luxury kitchen design in the nation’s capital through the iconic Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau brands.

“We are thrilled to welcome the BSH Experience & Design Center to CityCenterDC,” said Timothy Lowery, managing director of retail and mixed-use at Hines. “This innovative and immersive space perfectly complements our vision of bringing world-class experiences to the heart of Washington, D.C. BSH’s dedication to cutting-edge design and exceptional quality aligns seamlessly with the retail and lifestyle we cultivate at CityCenterDC. We’re proud to have them join our community and look forward to the inspiration they’ll bring to our residents, visitors and design professionals alike.”

With a prime central location within CityCenterDC, the captivating space is also the only luxury home appliance presence within the city limits – also designed to bring the company’s celebrated three North America-focused brands and their designs into the spotlight for a truly international audience.

“We’re thrilled to be opening our EDC in the heart of the nation’s capital – just steps to the White House, surrounded by other luxury brands and in the region’s premier retail hub at CityCenterDC,” said Chris Kaeser, head of sales at BSH. “What makes this location so special is that we’re projecting legendary global design and quality from our Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau brands for a wide range of people – with visitors from all over the world also arriving at all times of the year. We’re aiming to be a destination that customers, consumers and traveling diplomats all seek out for inspiration.”

With a stunning blend of neoclassical touches inspired by the city’s famous architecture and modern interior design, the EDC will be the new one-stop hub for architects, builders, designers, contractors and consumers to experience BSH brands and products through interactive displays, live demonstrations and personalized design consultations. Visitors can find the showroom at 940 New York Avenue NW, Suite 706.

Cherry Blossoms, Immersive Luxury and Inspiring Events

The showroom officially opened in early April during the city’s famed Cherry Blossom Festival – reflecting the international flare that defines the city. Design leaders, real estate professionals, builders, developers and city officials celebrated the vibrant opening with a ribbon cutting event.

The communal space will now facilitate first-hand interactions with the products – hosting events such as cooking and training sessions, fostering deeper connections with the local design and builder communities. This engagement is key to making BSH’s brands more tangible, helping consumers discover the best products to match their unique tastes, lifestyles and design preferences.

The center will also enable developers to offer various configurations and price points to their clients while relying on a single manufacturer to meet all their brand requirements.

Driving Premium, Luxury and Ultra-Luxury from Coast to Coast

BSH currently operates a network of 10 Experience and Design Centers across North America. From the first location in Irvine, Calif. to showrooms in Chicago, New York City, Miami, Houston and the recently-opened Beverly Hills, Calif. location in the U.S. – the company’s presence is expanding. BSH also maintains a strong footprint in Canada with EDCs in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
