BSH Home Appliances Corporation, a leader in premium and luxury home appliances in the North American market and across the globe, announces the appointment of Christian Funk as Chief Financial Officer Region North America, effective today. Funk succeeds Jesús Egido, who will return to Europe after successfully concluding his long-time foreign assignment in North America.
Christian Funk joined the company’s German headquarters on Oct.1, 2024 following multiple assignments within the larger Bosch Group in Europe and China. “Christian brings valuable strategic insight and international experience to our organization due to his extensive background as a finance leader within the Bosch Group. His appointment reflects BSH’s commitment to ensuring strong leadership and driving continued growth in the North American region,” said Darcy Clarkson, CEO for BSH Home Appliances Corporation in Region North America.

Prior to joining BSH, Funk held several key positions within the Bosch Group, including Vice President of Controlling for the Business Unit Video Systems and Solutions at Bosch Security Systems B.V. in the Netherlands. He also served as Head of Controlling, Purchasing and Logistics for Robert Bosch B.V., Energy and Building Solutions in the Netherlands, where he successfully executed a turnaround strategy for the business. Most recently, Funk was Vice President in the Office of Dr. Christian Fischer, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management of the Bosch Group and Head of the Supervisory Board of BSH.
Funk holds a Master of Arts in Strategy and International Management from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Funk will join CEO Darcy Clarkson and COO Michael Rosenbauer on the BSH Region North America Board of Management team.
