Bakes & Kropp, a luxury kitchen design and manufacturing company, is excited to announce its expansion into a new showroom at 43 Main Street in Cold Spring Harbor, New York. A longstanding tenant of the town, Bakes & Kropp will remain open for business in Cold Spring Harbor while the retrofit of the new space is completed. The grand opening took place on April 28, 2022.
“As we expand our footprint nationwide, we seek to also deepen our commitment to our existing communities,” said Bob Bakes, Bakes & Kropp co-founder and head of design. “Cold Spring Harbor is an important location for us, as the understated elegance of the charming town aligns seamlessly with our design approach. We wanted to match the quaint, walkable nature of the town with an intimate and welcoming space. While deeply rooted in its location, the design of our new showroom adds to the continuous thread between all Bakes & Kropp locations, providing a carefully curated jumping-off point to help guide our clients toward their dream kitchens.”
Spanning 1,100 square feet, the space is larger than Bakes & Kropp’s former Cold Spring Harbor outpost and designed with a focus on intimacy and accessibility that reflects the distinct character of the town. The showroom will feature a classic and curated Bakes & Kropp style that elegantly explores the boundaries of soft modernism, showcasing the very best of the brand’s signature designs. A functioning kitchen with a demonstration area will provide space for further engagement with the neighborhood through community events.
“The new Cold Spring Harbor showroom is part of our company’s continued organic expansion around the nation,” said Paul Kropp, Bakes & Kropp co-founder and chief operations officer. “We are thoughtfully and intentionally developing our path to becoming a national player in the ultra-luxury kitchen design marketplace.”
The Cold Spring Harbor showroom will be led by two of Bakes & Kropp’s top kitchen designers, Mary Dimichino and Jonika Ruz, who are both well acquainted with the area and the Cold Spring Harbor clientele. Bob Bakes will continue to oversee all designs. The showroom will be open for walk-ins, but appointments are encouraged.
Bakes & Kropp has showrooms in New York City; the Hamptons; Long Island; and Plymouth and Bay Harbor, Michigan.
