The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has announced “Style Your Sole,” a community outreach event taking place June 11–13, 2012, in Chicago during NeoCon. Conference attendees are invited to style more than 200 pairs of TOMS shoes for donation to a Chicago daycare center.
The event will also include a silent auction featuring shoes styled by noted members of the design community, including Venus Williams, professional athlete and CEO of V Starr Interiors; Dale Chihuly, glass artist; Susan S. Szenasy, editor-in-chief and Carli Heggen, new media coordinator, both of Metropolis magazine; Michael Murphy and Alan Ricks, founders of MASS Design Group; and Michael S. Smith, founder of Michael S. Smith Inc. and interior designer for the Obama White House.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Samaritan’s Feet, an international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing shoes for communities in need.
