The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) will be recruiting a successor for current ASID executive director Michael Alin, Hon. FASID, who is retiring on October 1, 2011, following 20 years of service.
ASID President Michael A. Thomas, FASID, has launched a nine-member task force that is responsible for obtaining input from ASID stakeholder groups and developing the leadership criteria and job description for a new executive VP/CEO. The task force, which is a team of ASID members and officers, has retained the services of The Greenway Group to manage the search and hiring process.
“This endeavor will be a thoughtful and thorough process, one that will require the task force to look to the future of the design profession to ensure that ASID remains the leading voice of the profession and continues to be the definitive resource for our members as our profession continues to evolve,” said Thomas.
The task force has outlined a scope of strategic activities to guide the future direction of the organization, including a continued commitment to support emerging professionals, students, and the practice needs of ASID members.
