The American Society of Interior Designers’ (ASID) 2011 Board of Directors have taken office. The 11-member board is made up of three officers, six director-at-large members, one industry partner representative and one chapter support team representative.
“The leadership on this year’s board is a great representation of the diverse profession of design, and I am looking forward to working with them to enhance the Society as a whole,” said 2011 ASID president Michael A. Thomas, FASID, CAPS. “Our goals this year include working closely with our chapters, placing a greater focus on the business needs of members and building bridges that reach beyond the Society.”
The 2011 Board members include president Michael Thomas, FASID, CAPS; president-elect Lisa B. Henry, FASID, LEED AP; and past president Sari Graven, FASID. The six directors at large are Sybil Jane Barrido, ASID, CID; Sonya Dufner, ASID, LEED AP; Deborah Lloyd Forrest, FASID; Sandy Gordon, FASID, LEED AP; Shirley Hammond, FASID; and Tim Schelfe, ASID. Rounding out the board are Bridget McMullin, ASID, as chapter support team representative, and Lynn Lorch Metz, ASID, LEED AP, as industry partner representative.
