Armstrong Cabinets Helps Homeowners Find “10 Grand in Your Hand”

Published: November 3, 2011

Armstrong Cabinets will be featured in an upcoming episode of the DIY network program “10 Grand in Your Hand,” which shows homeowners how to shave up to $10,000 from their renovation or remodeling project.

Armstrong Cabinets was selected by homeowners Doug and Heather Sheehan for their green kitchen renovation, which included incorporating recycled countertops, donating their old cabinets, re-insulating with natural fibers for energy-efficiency and using Armstrong’s Origins series with no-added formaldehyde adhesive.

The Sheehans made a store visit to the company’s Long Island, NY, location to select cabinets. “They saw the Arborcrest cherry door style on display and knew that was exactly what they wanted as soon as they came in,” said Julia Dowd, sales representative. “They offset the cost of the cabinetry by installing it themselves.”

“We truly love our new cabinets from Armstrong. From the color and style to the durability. We were impressed how fast we received our cabinets,” said Heather Sheehan. “Since sustainability was particularly important to us, we love that the construction of the cabinets is very solid, and we were happy to have the option of cabinets made with a formaldehyde free glue.”

“While all Armstrong Cabinet products are a safe and sustainable choice, an Origins cabinet combined with any of Armstrong’s solid wood center panel door styles offers the best available option for projects that require no added urea formaldehyde materials,” said Steve Nash, VP of sales and operations at Armstrong Cabinets. “Aesthetics, function and cost are primary concerns when designing a kitchen and our goal is to present different options so customers can make individual choices with confidence.”

“10 Grand in Your Hand,” Season 6, Episode 609 “Going For Green” with the Sheehans, premiered on October 26 on the DIY network, and it will be replayed throughout 2011 and into 2012.
