Huntwood Cabinets recently announced the winners of its 2024 Design Contest. Open to all Huntwood kitchen designers and direct reps, the contest asked participants to submit a short project bio, project photos, floor plan and overall cost breakdown.
The 1st Place winner (above), Dean Boerigter of Seattle, selected the Athos door style in engineered veneer in VG white oak. This modern kitchen was part of a new build that featured Huntwood cabinets in a variety of finishes in all its rooms. The sleek kitchen was designed in Huntwood’s frameless line. The black-painted uppers add an appealing contrast to the lighter colors used in the design. The island’s built-in dining table with seating for six, is topped with a 3-in.-thick solid wood top in rift-cut white oak.
The 2024 2nd Place winner (above), Julie Dirks, also of Seattle, chose the Monaco door style and eggshell paint. The striking island features a custom paint with “artisan black” glaze.
In the project that won 3rd Place, Andrea Liddell of Lakewood, Wash., selected the Stafford door style and colonial white paint for the perimeter cabinets. The eye-catching island provides contrast in cherry wood with ridgestone stain.
The 2024 Honorable Mention winner Trina Garcia of Kennewick, Wash., used the Firenza door style in European beech. The lower cabinets feature dove paint, while the upper cabinets and island are stained with oasis.
