James Fleming, CEO of Camelot Group, Asheville, N.C., announces an agreement with European design leader Eichholtz to manage business development and sales management for the lighting, kitchen and bath sales channels in the United States.
Eichholtz designs and markets a broad range of decorative lighting and luxury furnishings sold through a global network of more than 5,000 dealers to service the needs of interior designers, custom home builders, luxury residences, hotels, restaurants and commercial interiors.
Eichholtz recently increased its investment and presence in the North American market taking over a 20,000-sq.-ft. freestanding flagship showroom site in High Point, N.C.
The new showroom provides a spectacular showcase for Eichholtz, as well as inspiration for what an Eichholtz gallery or concept store can look like for retailers to capitalize upon the growth in modern design, and successes in merchandising to a lifestyle design strategy. Camelot Group will reach out to select kitchen & bath retailers who are leaders in their markets to offer exclusive sales channel representation.
“In today’s competitive and evolving marketplace, it’s of considerable benefit to expand product category offerings in support of increasing customer frequency of visits, and average sale, yet also reduce vendor partners in support of making more prominent lifestyle statements,” said James Fleming, CEO of Camelot Group. “It’s apparent from substantial success of Restoration Hardware, Room & Board, Ashley and Ferguson, that emphasizing a single brand or lifestyle is a winning formula for achieving differentiation and distinction to better attract and retain clients and compete with online sellers. Retailers must evolve their businesses if they are to survive and thrive!”
