Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA), one of the largest supporters of HIV/AIDS service and education programs in the United States, is harnessing the creativity and connections of the design community to raise much needed funds for the cause. Its first-ever DIFFA By Design Auction will bring together the best of the best from the design world – from luxurious products to experiences – all up for bid. Its signature event DIFFA By Design moves to 2021 and will be presented under the timely theme of unity. All funds raised will help to address the most pressing community needs, closing the gap left by insufficient and declining government funding.
The DIFFA team and Board of Directors will create a special DIFFA By Design fall auction to be held online from Oct. 1-4, 2020. Designers, architects, manufacturers, brands and friends will have the opportunity to donate and shop from a curated boutique of furnishings, accessories, merchandise and experiences. All proceeds will support DIFFA’s mission, which remains more critical than ever during this public health crisis. DIFFA is calling for donations from brands that might have products and services to give. Interested brands should visit the DIFFA auction site to download a donation form.
DIFFA By Design, an evolution of its signature annual fundraiser Dining By Design, is moving to 2021. The team is carefully monitoring the current pandemic and will determine a new date pending the availability to hold and execute an event safely. Unity, DIFFA By Design’s original theme, resonates more than ever as the design community has come together to navigate this challenging and unprecedented year. In true DIFFA fashion, the event will recognize the work of its designers and supporters in extraordinary style and incorporate fresh elements and opportunities into its robust calendar of festivities. DIFFA By Design 2021 will be held at its original venue, Center 415 in the heart of Manhattan (415 Fifth Avenue, New York City).
Current 2020 DIFFA By Design sponsors include: Benjamin Moore, Cosentino, Gensler/Knoll/EvensonBest/Miller Blaker, Menu & Gensler, New York Design Center, Vocon + Teknion | Studio TK, HOK, International Office Concept, Rockwell Group, STUDIOS, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Florim, designed by Perkins Eastman, Interior Design, Julian Chichester, Mr. Brown London, ELLE DÉCOR, Novità PR and Maya Romanoff.
