Nora Lighting

Nora Lighting introduces a redesigned series of two-hour, fire-rated downlight housings.

Nora Lighting introduces a redesigned series of two-hour, fire-rated downlight housings that can be used in either LED dedicated or line voltage installations. The new specification-grade Nora NFBIC firebox housings are smaller and lighter than previous models, and no longer have felt on the bottom of the frame. All units are double-walled and incorporate non-combustible fiber insulation to prevent the passage of flames, toxic gases and ignitable gasses into ceiling plenums.

With 4-, 5- and 6-in. apertures, the housings are compatible with Nora‘s LED retrofit and surface mount luminaires. The NFBIC Series also includes a new 4-in. shallow housing, compatible with Nora’s 4-in. Onyx LED retrofit fixtures. The shallow housing is just 4 13/16-in. tall and accommodates narrow plenums. All housings are airtight; rated for a minimum of two hours protection; and meet strict safety codes for commercial, multi-family and residential applications.
