The Marvin Companies announces the election of two new members to its board of directors: Kirsten Castillo and Russ Becker. The company also welcomes Jackie Schneider as vice president of marketing.
Castillo brings a wealth of business experience to the Marvin board, having previously served as CEO of Logistics Planning Services (LPS), which was named one of America’s fastest growing companies seven years in a row. Castillo led the strategic sale of LPS to GlobalTranz in 2017 and now serves on the Board of Advisors for the Fuqua’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Duke University while also sharing her time with numerous nonprofit organizations.
Becker is the president and CEO of APi Group Inc., one of the largest specialty contractors in North America. During Becker’s tenure, APi Group has acquired more than 60 independently managed life safety, energy, specialty construction and infrastructure companies and has grown to more than $3.8 billion in annual sales. Becker also serves on the Children’s Hospitals Foundation board along with the Liberty Diversified Industries and Advisory Board of Directors for the Engineering School at Michigan Technical University.
“Kirsten and Russ are ideal additions to The Marvin Companies board of directors,” said Susan Marvin, chair of the board. “Both bring diverse business experience and a passion for innovation, and we are fortunate to add their talents to the board.”
Jackie Schneider has joined Marvin as vice president of marketing and will work directly with president Darrin Peterson to support the organization’s window and door sales growth. Schneider will be responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of marketing strategies that drive growth.
“Jackie brings significant experience as a strategic marketing thought-leader to Marvin,” said Peterson. “Her design expertise coupled with her aptitude for human-centered solutions are an ideal match for Marvin’s evolving product portfolio.”
Most recently, Schneider was the director of brand marketing for the Heat & Glo brand at Hearth & Home Technologies. Schneider brings more than 15 years of building industry experience to Marvin, including more than 10 years with Kohler leading showroom and store sales along with marketing strategy and implementation. Prior to that, Schneider spent several years as a practicing interior architect.
“Having worked in the building industry my entire career, I’ve always held Marvin in the highest regard,” said Schneider. “I am looking forward to working with the team to delight customers at every touchpoint as they experience Marvin’s products and services.”
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, Schneider holds a Bachelor of Arts in interior architecture and is a past president of the National Kitchen & Bath Association‘s Minnesota chapter.
