Kesseböhmer USA Inc., a supplier of kitchen cabinet storage solutions with its North American headquarters in downtown Wilmington, N.C., recently completed its donation matching campaign benefiting the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina (CENC) in the aftermath of Hurricanes Florence and Michael. Kesseböhmer has been a proud member of the Wilmington community for more than a decade and was eager to contribute to its home state’s recovery efforts.
Kesseböhmer engaged its international network of kitchen and bath industry professionals and local partner network to participate in its digital fundraising campaign. Together with campaign contributors, Kesseböhmer was able to raise more than $12,000 for the Food Bank, the equivalent of providing more than 60,000 meals to people in need.
“As a part of the kitchen industry, supporting the Food Bank was a natural fit for us,” said David Ivey, managing director for Kesseböhmer USA. “Kesseböhmer strives to be a positive part of the community in which we work and live—the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina’s reach is vast and allows us to give back to our community and beyond.”
In addition to the Food Bank fundraiser, Kesseböhmer sponsored a hot meal distribution for 130 linesmen and 280 first responders just days after Hurricane Florence tore through southeastern North Carolina.
