Wellborn Cabinets is a sponsor of the 2011 HGTV Dream Home, a Vermont based ski-lodge. The two-story lodge, built on the slope of Spruce Peak at Stowe Mountain Resort, can sleep up to 14 guests in three bedrooms. Wellborn Cabinet provided its Platinum Solutions cabinetry for the kitchen, mudroom, laundry, master bath, dorm bath, ski dorm, powder bath, guest bath and refreshment center.
Wellborn’s slab-style Milan Maple cabinets with a one-piece drawer front were selected for the kitchen in oatmeal and shadow charcoal finishes. The island includes a seating area and is open to the living room, making it a flexible entertainment space. The kitchen also features Wellborn’s Media Life, a product that integrates the digital needs of a household into one system. The product brings together live television, personal photos, music, iTunes, DVDs, podcasts, movies, home videos, family schedules, recipes, email and the web into one system that comes preconfigured and prepackaged with setup instructions.
The master bath includes Milan Maple Pimento cabinetry, while a full overlay Sonoma Maple in glacier pewter was added to the guest bath. The dorm bath offers maple shadow cabinets and the powder bath has full-overlay Hanover Maple cabinets in truffle java.
As a sponsor, Wellborn Cabinet will also be recreating the kitchen at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show. The re-creation will give show attendees an up-close look at this area of the home.
