The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) has appointed Ralph Hudnall as the Director of Product Certification and Verification. In his position, Hudnall will oversee AHAM’s ongoing and new appliance rating certification and verification programs.
AHAM currently administers performance certification and verification programs for room air cleaners, room air conditioners, dehumidifiers and refrigerators and freezers. Additionally, the association is also developing verification programs for clothes washers and dishwashers. AHAM is expected to receive approval from Energy Star as a recognized verification administrator for all of the product programs.
“Ralph comes to AHAM from the private sector working for many years with AHAM products,” said Joseph M. McGuire, AHAM president. “In addition, Ralph has experience establishing test labs and testing systems for AHAM covered products. These qualifications will be a great asset to AHAM as we bring new verification testing programs online.”
