American Marazzi Tile has acquired six wholesale service centers from Interceramic Group. Located in Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Denver and Anaheim and San Diego, CA, the centers will be transitioned within four to six months into Marazzi Tile & Stone centers.
“A prime tenet of our business plan is to always explore new channels for growth and take advantage of opportunities to increase market share,” said Gianni Mattioli, president and CEO of Marazzi USA. “And this acquisition reinforces our strategy of manufacturing top quality tile to service the U.S. market.”
Marazzi USA has been domestically producing tile in Sunnyvale, TX, and also owns a manufacturing plant in Florence, AL. “Marazzi Group continues to be a very competitive player in the U.S. tile marketplace. As the market improves we should be in a strong position to capitalize on opportunities within both commercial and residential markets,” said Mattioli.
