Greener Living Tour Making the Rounds

LG Electronics and Good Housekeeping have launched the Greener Living Tour, a national farmers market circuit designed to educate consumers on how to live healthier and greener with the help of fresh foods and efficient products.

“Now, more than ever, our readers are relying on us to help them cut through the clutter of claims to find products that really perform as promised, and one of the many ways we do this is with the Good Housekeeping Seal,” said Miriam Arond, director of the Good Housekeeping Research Institute. “As a Good Housekeeping Seal-holder, LG is an ideal partner for the Greener Living Tour because we’re confident in the quality products they provide for consumers.”

At each stop on the tour, a raw food chef will perform cooking demonstrations using locally grown produce stored in LG’s new energy-efficient French-door refrigerator. Visitors at the events will have the opportunity to use LG’s G-Slate tablets to join LG in taking the “Change the World, Start with Energy Star” pledge and consider behavioral changes that will save them money and help save the planet at the same time. This national campaign, sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, encourages Americans to join with millions of others in taking small steps that can help make a big difference in addressing climate change. Those who take the pledge will be automatically entered into a drawing for the chance to win the LG French-door refrigerator valued at $2,999. One winner will be chosen at the end of the tour.
